Presser Arts Center hosts virtual masterclass with Scott Wolf

You might know Scott Wolf’s work from hit movies like Go or the medical drama The Night Shift. Or you probably know him from Party of Five, Everwood and maybe Perception. He is currently filming another series of Nancy Drew, playing Carson Drew, Nancy’s widowed father. As an actor -- both on screen and on stage -- Wolf has covered a lot of ground.

Anyone with an interest in knowing a bit more about Wolf, the art of acting or the entertainment industry can participate in a live, virtual masterclass hosted by the Presser Arts Center and presented on Zoom.
The interactive event takes place on October 24 at 1pm from the comfort of each participant’s home, office or wifi hotspot.

“We’re hoping anybody and everybody will join in,” said Lois Brace, executive director for the arts center in Mexico. “He’s going to cover his journey in the acting world.”

Part of that journey involved becoming friends with Presser administrator Katie Azdell, who helped put together the arts center’s first masterclass. Wolf will address life on the set, how to succeed, how to accept rejection and more. Those who register by October 22 will be able to submit questions in advance and have a chance to interact live with the veteran actor.

“There’s no limit to how many can join,” Brace explained.

The price for participation in the masterclass had originally been set at $50. However, after hearing that Wolf would be the focus of Presser’s event, an anonymous donor stepped in. This allowed the arts center to drop the price to $10.

“The donor wanted to make sure no one got left behind,” Brace said.

The workshop is for those ages 13 and up. After the registration period ends, a Zoom link will be sent to all participants.

Note that this is a live event. There will be no option to watch a recorded version.
