Brian Wayne Jones, 54, of Fulton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Liberty Cemetery near Shamrock, with Brian’s brother Mark Hale officiating.

Brian was born in Mexico on September 7, 1969. He was the son of Earl Thomas Jones, Jr., and Connie Snell Hale.

Brian graduated from Mexico High School in 1987 and served in the US Navy from 1987 to 1993. He was a Machinist Mate. He was also a former firefighter, EMT, and electrician. He was currently employed by Callaway County Extended Employment in Fulton. He was safety coordinator and laundry supervisor. He was known for his kindness and generosity and his ability to fix most anything.

Brian is survived by his mother Connie and step-father Warren Hale, of Martinsburg; his children, Kyle, Julian, and Brandi Jones, all of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter, Nyx Jones, of Dallas; brothers, Michael Snell, of St. Charles, Mark Hale, of Bentonville, Arkansas; one sister, Julie Hale-Harris, of Auxvasse; and his companion, Amy Prater, of Fulton.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Earl and Gloria Jones, and Wayne and Wanda Snell; and one infant brother, Jeremy Alexander.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Callaway County Extended Employment of Fulton. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
