Charles “Charlie” Leroy Beamer, 77, of Stoutsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Noble Health Audrain Community Hospital in Mexico.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

Mr. Beamer was born on Nov. 17, 1943 in Mexico, the son of Fletcher and Margaret (Sterrett) Beamer.

Charlie had an extensive work history. He worked for Sydenstricker’s, Charlie’s Auto Sales, Charlie’s Farm Tire Repair, Pearl Motor Company, and several over-the-road trucking opportunities. Charlie loved to sight-see as he drove his truck all over the country, he liked to refer to himself as a "paid tourist". Charlie also enjoyed camping with friends and boating. He made it his personal goal to torture his grandchildren on the tube and see just how high he could throw them off of it. He loved telling and hearing a good joke and especially liked telling stories about his grandchildren. He recently spent most of his free time taking Gloria to basketball, softball and football games. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, especially basketball. Charlie also loved a good campfire when surrounded by friends, laughter and good food.
