Juanita Frances Breneman

Services for Juanita Frances Breneman, 97, of Mexico, formerly of Laddonia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2021 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia with Rev. Glenn Forman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Laddonia Cemetery.

Mrs. Breneman passed away at 11 a.m. on June 5, at The Arbors by Lakeview Bend in Mexico. She was born Dec. 29, 1923 in rural Vandalia, the daughter of Hurley Grant and Leah Ruth Angel Beedle. Juanita married Glen Joseph Leland Breneman on Nov. 8, 1941 in Curryville; he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2011.

Survivors include one son, Gary Lee (Alice) Breneman of Bridgeton; one daughter, Patricia Ann (Bob) Berry of Columbia; two sisters, Rheva Tiller Tratchell of Mexico, and Betty Abington of Vandalia; seven grandchildren, Tim (Laura) Berry of Parkville, Jeff (Julie) Breneman of St. Charles, Kim (Ted) Foley of Columbia, Corey (Joy) Breneman of Bridgeton, Steven (Cindy) Berry of Foristell, Luke (Sarah) Breneman of St. Charles, and Marc (Katie) Breneman of St. Charles; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ellie Waide; four brothers, Gene, William, Wesley, and Donald Beedle; and one sister, Viola Potter.

Mrs. Breneman worked as a bookkeeper for MFA in Laddonia for 25 years. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Coming to know the Lord as a young girl, she was active in the Laddonia Baptist Church where she would teach Sunday school, Bible study, singing in the church choir, and serving in other capacities around the church. She also enjoyed helping with the Laddonia food bank. Juanita showed her love for her husband in many ways through their 69 years together and cared for him faithfully through his illness. She showed her love for her children through her acts of kindness and her work. She often served others by helping with transportation to doctor appointments, taking meals to the sick and needy, and visiting the sick and lonely.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Breneman, Corey Breneman, Luke Breneman, Marc Breneman, Tim Berry, and Steve Berry.
