Larry Wayne Davis

Larry Wayne Davis, 80, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at Arnold Funeral Home with Raymond Iman officiating.

Visitation is Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born on Sept. 2, 1940 in Moberly, the son of Archie M. and Nora Ellen (Brewer) Davis. On Jan. 3, 1959, in Iberia, he married Marjorie Louise Brandenburg.

Mr. Davis graduated from Mexico High School in 1958. He worked at Kaiser/National Refractories in the maintenance department, retiring in 2003.

Larry loved fishing, especially snagging, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and MU Tigers basketball. He also enjoyed going to the boat and playing bingo.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Davis, of the home; one daughter, Tracy (Les) England of Centralia; one son, Mike (Norma) Davis of Clark; five grandchildren, Mary (Jared) Decker of Centralia, Ashley Davis of Kansas City, Kan., Erin (Ben) LeNeave of Yukon, Okla., Brittnay Davis of Boca Raton, Fla., and Marjorie (Aaron) Jury of Kearney; 14 grandchildren; and one sister, Jessie (Dave) Whitaker of Centralia.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Davis; and an infant sister, Marilyn Sue Davis.

Memorial donations may be made to the Home Care of Mid Missouri Hospice or the Central Missouri Honor Flight. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
