2 sustain serious injuries
Two Mexico residents sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 11:25 p.m. Saturday, April 29, on Missouri 22 at Audrain County Road 945.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the eastbound 2001 Ford Focus, driven by Michael M. Marks, 26, of Mexico, swerved to miss a deer, crossed the center of the roadway, ran off the roadway and overturned several times. A four-year-old male occupant was ejected. Both were transported by Audrain County EMS to University Hospital, Columbia.
Paris youths airlifted
Two Paris, Mo., juveniles sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, on Monroe County Road 6056, two miles south of Santa Fe.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the eastbound 2021 Tracker 800 began skidding and overturned on the driver’s side.
A nine-year-old female and 13-year-old female sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance and Air Evac to University Hospital, Columbia.
