Allen Wayne Beasley, 70, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, at Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico. Visitation is Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Allen was born on June 1, 1950, the son of William E. and Edna P. (Moore) Beasley. He grew up in Auxvasse and graduated from North Callaway High School in 1968. On June 30, 1973, he married Betty J. Worley. She survives.

Mr. Beasley had worked at the shoe factory, A.P. Greens and Nationals. He had worked 24 years part-time and nine years full-time for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2018 after 33 years.

Allen loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed working on the family farm and taking care of animals, especially his donkeys. Allen had also been a 4-H leader and a member of the Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of I.O.O.F.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty J. Beasley of the home; four children, Kay (Tony) Gish of Mexico, Debbie (James) Gideon of St. Peters, Vickie (Michael) Moore of Mexico, and Dennis (Melissa) Beasley of Mexico; seven grandchildren, Dillon and Wyatt Gish, Maya Gideon, Marcus Moore, and Cameron, Blake and Kinslee Beasley; one brother, Bill (Kathy) Beasley of Mexico; one sister, Sally (Mike) Morris; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Edna P. Beasley.
