Audrain County Health Department offers text service

The Audrain County Health Department is rolling out a new texting service called the ACHD Advocates.

Those who sign up for the service will receive advanced notification through texts of new initiatives, programs and alerts being offered by the ACHD. These could include food safety reports, health alerts, information on new programs, CDC guideline changes and more.

“This new initiative is a chance for Audrain County residents to make sure they are as up-to-date on information from the health department as possible,” ACHD Administrator and CEO Craig Brace said. “This is an opportunity for our residents to keep informed of what we are doing and offering at the ACHD and, it allows us another avenue to inform the public of the same.”

Signing up is free. Text "advocates” to 877-565-1119. Users will also have the option to provide an email address to receive more in-depth public health information.

Normal messaging and data rates will apply, and users can choose to opt out at any time. Contact the health department at 573-581-1332 for more information.
