Area residents gathered Thursday, May 4th at 2 p.m. to attend the annual World Day of Prayer Service. The Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church hosted the service with Co-chairmen, Carolyn Westerman, Judy Hunt, and Mary Ellen Martin.
Rev. Mike Hibbard of Auxvasse, pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, gave the address on James 5: 16-18 and the history of the World Day of Prayer. The service included musical solos and readings by several from area churches.
The Closing scripture 2 Chronicles 7:14 was read by Carolyn Westerman, and prayer by Mary Ellen Martin. Judy Hunt served as pianist. Refreshments and fellowship followed in the fellowship hall.
