Dante Billups gains yards. A lot of yards. And he often does it while carrying defenders on his back. Michael White hits hard -- like a truck wearing a number 5 on its hood.
Both Mexico football phenoms earned spots on the North Central Missouri Conference all-conference first team list.
Billups was named as one of four standout running backs for the 2020 season. The senior is a scoring machine who came just shy of a 200 yard game in the first round of the district tournament last week. White is a junior who patrols a lot of ground as safety. And he helped hold Fulton’s running backs to 69 yards in last week’s game.
Also on the all-conference honor roll, offensive lineman Kendyr Taylor, defensive lineman Deacon Haag and linebacker Shannon Dorsey received a second team slot each. Ty Price was named to the second team offense and defense, as did Isaiah Reams.
