Bonnie Jean Gates, 86, of Azle, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at her home.
Private funeral services will be at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Bonnie was born on Nov. 20, 1934 in Pike County, Mo., the daughter of Virgil Pearl and Ethel Irene (Myers) Smith. On Feb. 19, 1974 in Lake Worth, Texas, she married John Junior Gates. He passed away on May 12, 2006.
Mrs. Gates enjoyed gardening and loved watching her chickens in the backyard.
Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Littrell (Dan Goras) of Azle, Texas, Debbie (Don) Zatorski of Mexico, and Linda (Danny) Ratliff of Shelbina; grandchildren, Melanie Spear, Kevin Andrew, Littrell Hulvey, Joshua Lee Littrell, Lisa Marie (David) Turner, Katelin Michelle (Nathan) Tarrants, David Ratliff, Andy Ratliff and Chris Ratliff; great-grandchildren, Samantha Brooke Turner, Benjamin Kendal Tarrants, Isabelle KayLynne Tarrants, Dalton Ratliff, Ethan Ratliff and Jaxson Ratliff.
In addition to her husband, John Junior Gates, Bonnie was preceded in death by one son, David Brower; and a great-grandson, Silas Monroe Ratliff.
