Carol Lucille Crabtree

Carol Lucille Crabtree, 78, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at her daughter’s home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17 at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating the service.

Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 17 from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

 

Mrs. Crabtree was born on July, 16, 1943 in Alton, the daughter of Christopher and Anna (Holmes) Cloven. On March 30, 1982, she married the love of her life, Hervil Jackson Crabtree, who preceded her in death.

 

Carol was a feisty, fun loving, loyal, strong and at times, stubborn woman.  She had a passion for shopping, traveling on vacation and reading.  Carol would also spend leisure time camping, fishing, snagging and hunting.  Family was extremely important to her.  Carol loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Dave) Hurd of Mexico; one brother, Frank Cloven of Mexico; two sisters, Beulah (Robert) Camp of Martinsburg, Carmalee (Ed) Lewallen of Martinsburg; five grandchildren, Kaleigh (Desmond) Curtis of Mexico, Kelsay (Devyn) Crabtree of Mexico, Caleb (Judy) Crabtree of Mexico, Cassie (Nathan) Martin of Fulton, Jacklyn Hurd of Mexico; eight great-grandchildren, Connor, Rielle, Beau, Ophelia, Sadie, Oliver, Tobias and Amelia.

 

Mrs. Crabtree was preceded in death by her husband, Hervil Crabtree; her parents, Christopher and Anna Cloven; one brother, Wayne Cloven and one sister, Lurine Cloven.

 

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
