Connie Sue Scott, 76, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Pin Oaks Living Center.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 1, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Stanford conducting the service.
Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 1, from 12 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Ms. Scott was born on Sept. 23, 1944 in Mexico, the daughter of Conrad and Pauline Clayton.
Connie was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed basketball and softball. She played softball in her younger years and basketball was her favorite form of exercise. A love for music was evident throughout the Clayton family and Connie was no exception. She loved to listen to all kinds of music and dance right along with it. As a resident of Pin Oaks she found happiness every time Kelly Stanford came to entertain. Connie was a devoted mom to her three children. She never missed a class party, school event and volunteered at the school as much as possible. While she was able, she loved her grandchildren passionately.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie (Tom) Fox of Mexico, Tammy (Jeff) Angel of Laddonia; one son, Brain (Danielle Halterman) Beamer of Rush Hill; one brother, Bill (Marilyn) Clayton of Mexico; one sister-in-law, Margie Clayton of Mexico; 12 grandchildren, Brandon Sparks, Heidi Fox, Brady Fox, Miranda Fennewald, Brennan Wells, Emma Angel, Sarah Angel, Brianna Beamer, Brynna Beamer, Alyssa Beamer, Peyton Beamer, Brett Beamer and five great-grandchildren.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Pauline Clayton; three brothers, James Doyle Clayton, Donald Clayton, Ronald Clayton and one sister, Caroline Clayton.
