East Central Drug Task Force makes arrests

On the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 26, members of the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, East Central Drug Task Force, Mexico Department of Public Safety, and Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a narcotics-related search warrants in the 1400 block of Neptune Street in Mexico.

As a result of the investigation, officers located Ecstasy, distribution amounts of THC products, one firearm, and drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested Donovan Jay Jackson, age 24, of Mexico for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Donovan was later released on a Uniform Citation. This incident remains an open investigation and additional arrest(s) are anticipated; therefore, no additional information will be released concerning this incident.

On the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 27, members of the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, East Central Drug Task Force, and Mexico Department of Public Safety executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of MacFarlane Street in Mexico.

As a result of the investigation, officers located a distribution amount of Methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia used in the illegal distribution of illegal controlled substances, and approximately $3,100 United States Currency.

Officers arrested: 

Roman C. Morrow, age 37, of Mexico for Conspiracy to Commit an Offense, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm – Prior Offender, Money Laundering, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Receiving Stolen Property. Morrow was transported to the Audrain County Jail where he is being held pending the formal filing of charges by the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Dymond Nicole Kemp, age 22, of Mexico for Conspiracy to Commit an Offense, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Receiving Stolen Property. Kemp was transported to the Audrain County Jail where he is being held pending the formal filing of charges by the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in court.
