Emma Leigh Azdell

Emma Leigh Azdell, 15, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, north of Mexico, with Steve Kennemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Emma was born on Oct. 21, 2005 in Mexico, the daughter of Jeremy Azdell and Amber Kennemore Azdell.

Emma was a freshman at Mexico High School, where she played soccer and was in the band. She enjoyed going to church and riding ATVs.

Survivors include her father, Jeremy (Audrey) Azdell of Mexico; her mother, Amber Azdell (Jeremy Samuelson) of Mexico; three brothers, Christian Azdell, Connor Samuelson and Chayse Samuelson; three sisters, Joselynn Berg, Liberty Samuelson and Kayleigh Samuelson; grandparents, Kenneth Kennemore, Dennis and Belinda Azdell, Rod and Debbie Myers, Ron and Ginger Smith, and Diane Samuelson; great-grandparents, Don Myers, Bonnie Mills and Carolyn Thompson; aunts and uncles, Travis (Bobbie Jo) Azdell, Lacey (Grant) Van Den Huevel, Steve (Sarah) Kennemore, Stacey Williams, Brittany Myers, April Myers and Skyler Myers; and many cousins and an abundance of loved ones.

Emma was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Ned and Elaine Azdell, Thomas Mills and Charles Thompson.
