Evelyn E. Schmidt Trammell, 92, of Centralia, formerly of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 27, at Arnold Funeral Home with Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born on October 17, 1930, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of George Earl and Eunice (Haupt) Schmidt. She married William D. Trammell on March 7, 1948, in Jefferson City. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1972.
Evelyn was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mexico. She was a nurse and worked for Audrain Medical Center and Fulton State Hospital. Evelyn had a love for animals.
She is survived by daughter, Shirley (Mike) Miller of Mexico; son, Larry Trammell of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mark (Rachel) Miller of Wentzville, Amy (Mike) Rowe of Mexico and Jennifer (Michael) Young of Vandalia; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Allen, Jade Young, Haylee Allen, Harley Young, Brittany Miller, Jacob Rowe and Brooke Miller; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynne and Brinsley.
Evelyn was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara (husband John) Jones; parents; and a brother, Norman Schmidt.
