Floyd Ray Steuber, 77, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Floyd was born on July 20, 1943 in Columbia, the son of John Pleasant and Margaret Louise (Black) Steuber. On April 10, 1964 in Mexico, he married Leslie Ann Foreman.

Mr. Steuber was a 1961 graduate of Mexico High School. He was president of Highway R-3 Doors. In earlier years, he had done general contracting in the Hallsville area.

Floyd had a passion for bowling and was a member of the Mexico USBC. He bowled 21 consecutive years in the National Bowling Tournament. He also was an avid coin collector, lifelong member of the NRA and enjoyed golfing. He was a longtime sponsor of the Sharks Softball Team. Floyd’s greatest joy was being a part of his grandchildren’s lives.

Survivors include his wife, Leslie Steuber of the home; his mother, Margaret Steuber of Mexico; three sons, John (Janet) Steuber of Columbia, Shawn Steuber of Mexico, and Eric (Chris) Steuber of Columbia; 10 grandchildren, Robert (Stephanie) Steuber of Auburndale, Fla., Nolan (Ciara) Steuber of Columbia, Morgan Steuber of Columbia, Sean Steuber of Lee’s Summit, Luke Steuber of Columbia, Kathryn Steuber of Columbia, Paige Steuber of Columbia, Reagan Steuber of Columbia, Reed Steuber of Columbia and Brennan Steuber of Columbia; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Patrick and Timothy Steuber; one great-grandchild on the way, Chase; and one sister, Linda Walker of Mexico.

Floyd was preceded in death by his father, John P. Steuber.
