The Foundation for Soy Innovations is offering scholarships for 2021.
Students and young professionals working with soy have until Oct. 15 to apply for one of the $1,000 awards. Funds can be used for coursework, supplies, specialty training and/or participation in a professional conference, a news release stated.
The scholarships are made possible from contributions from Missouri farmers, and support students and early-career faculty who are working along the soy value chain, the release stated. This can include agronomic research to developing new soy-based products.
The scholarship program was launched in 2019, with Eric Oseland of Columbia, receiving the inaugural award. He is a doctoral candidate studying weed pressure and control in soybeans.
