Freddie Mae Jackson, 72, of Mexico passed away peacefully at Landmark Hospital in Columbia on Friday, May 27, 2022.

She was born in Fulton on June 11, 1949, to the late Frederick Thompson Sr. and the late Bernice (Lee) Thompson.

Freddie Mae attended Second Christian Church as a child. She graduated from Fulton High School and later was united in marriage to Larry Jackson in 1983. She worked for Central Bank of Mexico Missouri for 33 years, retiring in 2014. She was known by her colleagues for her punctuality, kind heart, and grace. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, baking, shopping, and talking with her sisters daily. She was very family oriented and provided lots of love and support to all. She enjoyed the time she spent with her-sisters, brothers, cousins, and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by step-son, Marvin Blue (Tracy); step-daughters, Shelley Cole, and Dana Calhoun (Richard); brother, George Thompson of St. Louis; sisters, Joyce Thompson of Fulton, Mary Galbreath of Fulton, and Janet Freelon (Rex) of Columbia; two aunts, Bonnie Morgan of Columbia, and Carolyn Lee of Fulton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frederick Thompson Jr. and Terrell Thompson; and sister, Connie Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Court Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Larry Vaughn Jr. officiating. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Southside Cemetery.
