James “Jim” Richard Davidson
James “Jim” Richard Davidson, 87, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Columbia, MO. Born on October 9, 1937, in Audrain County Missouri, he was the son of Spencer T. and Mary Ethel Allen Davidson.
Jim is survived by his two sons, Robert (Mary) Davidson of Foley and Richard (Cheryl) Davidson of Castro Valley, CA and a bonus son Robert Stuenkel (Gina) of Marys Home, MO. He leaves behind eight grandchildren: Veronica, Brandon, Aryn, Robert, Crystal, Cassandra, Rebekah, and Jared; along with six great-grandchildren, many dear friends, and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his seven brothers, Roy, Calap, Robert, Marvin, Glen, Johnny, and Raymond Davidson; four sisters, Amanda Davidson, Flodell Garnett, Wanda Garnett, and Jeannie Stoneberger; and one son, Raymond Davidson.
Jim had a deep love for the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or gold prospecting. He also loved motorcycles, guitars, and strong black coffee. He proudly served in the US Navy and found joy in working with veterans. Jim enjoyed his volunteer work at the VA Hospital and later at the Columbia Senior Activity Center. He was a friend of Bill W. for 38 years and helped take meetings to various locations.
Jim attended Prairie Grove Baptist Church and was involved with the church mission trips to West Virginia and later Tennessee.
