Jimmy Lynn, Sr., 87, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Arbors at Colony Pointe in Columbia.
A celebration of life service will be held at Farber Cemetery on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
Jimmy was born on February 2, 1937, in Pike County, the son of Howard and Josephine (Tippett) Lynn. He married Carolyn Hutchinson on May 24, 1958, in Hannibal. She preceded him in death on December 24, 2014.
Jimmy cherished the moments spent with family, especially when playing pool with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time working in his yard. In his earlier years, he and wife, Carolyn, enjoyed square dancing and playing cards with a close group of friends. In the winter months, he and Carolyn spent the season in Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Jim (Marcia) Lynn, Jr. of Columbia, Greg Lynn of Centralia and Eric Lynn of Mexico; four grandchildren, Brandon Lynn of Thompson, Amanda (Mitchell) Jenkins of Columbia, Josh (Rebecca) Lynn of Texas and Zach (Jennifer) Lynn of Kansas City; five great-grandchildren, Trayten Lynn of Thompson, Belle Jenkins of Columbia and Lela, Lincoln and Laurel Lynn of Texas; and a sister, Sharon Curry of Centralia.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; three brothers; and two sisters.
