Katie Ann Oligschlaeger
Katie Ann “Katie Bug” Oligschlaeger, 24, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Katie was born on Nov. 8, 1998, in Columbia, the daughter of Paul and Lisa (Gibson) Oligschlaeger. She attended the Children’s Therapy and Early Education School and McMillan Elementary School.
Katie enjoyed shopping, especially for boots and shoes. She also loved to travel and take vacations. Whether on a gravel road or somewhere on the farm, Katie could be found riding on a tractor with her dad or in a side by side. Gatherings and parties were also a big part of Katie’s life. She loved people and everyone was her friend.
Survivors include her parents, Paul and Lisa Oligschlaeger of Mexico; one brother, Brandon Oligschlaeger of Lee’s Summit; maternal grandparents, Lee and Bonnie Kay Gibson of Mexico; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Katie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Ann Oligschlaeger.
Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Arnold Funeral Home.
Funeral services followed at at the funeral home with Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Private burial was in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Randy Walker, Danny Davidson, Tim Oakes, Steve Oligschlaeger, Shawn Oligschlaeger and Austin Mathews. Honorary pallbearers will be Sandie Scott, Tina Davidson and Alex Lady.
In honor of Katie’s love for parties, all were invited to the Mexico Elks Lodge following services.
