Kevin Franklin Long, 49, of Pensacola, Fla.,, formerly of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Arnold Funeral Home.

Kevin was born on Jan. 9, 1972, in Columbia, the son of Walter and Esther (Long) Day. He married Valerie Haubrock on June 26, 2009, in Pensacola, Fla.

He enjoyed working as a painter, trim carpenter, construction contractor, antiquing and cooking for friends and family. Kevin loved spending time at the beach. He liked visiting with old friends and meeting new friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Valerie of the home; mother, Esther Day of Mexico; three daughters, Tyler Cierra Long, Tanner Cheyenne Long and Chayse Ann Davis all of Mexico; one son, Randy Dalton Skinner of Kansas City; two stepdaughters, Rebeca Fors and Raquel Fors both of Florida; two granddaughters, SiddaLea and Taetym of Mexico; four sisters, Angela (Russel) Hogan of Eldon, Elizabeth Santos of, Mexico, Phyllis (Mike) Wilson of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Holly Webber of Memphis, Mo.; and one brother, W.R. Day of St. Louis.

He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Day; brother, Kenneth Long; and his grandparents.
