A trio of Lady Bulldogs were recognized for their accomplishments this past year.
The Mexico girls soccer team’s season ended May 14 after a 2-1 loss to Kirksville in districts, but senior Shelby Kennemore, junior Tessa Haefling and freshman Kenley Jones each received all-conference and all-district honors.
Kennemore was named first team all-North Central Missouri Conference and first team all-district in Class 2 District 6. The senior scored 15 goals this season.
Haefling was named second team all-NCMC and second team all-district after making 322 saves in goal this season. Her save total is the sixth-most saves in a season in MSHSAA history.
Jones was an all-district honorable mention as a defender. The Lady Bulldogs allowed 4.4 goals per game after surrendering 6.1 last season.
Mexico finished with a 5-20 overall record this season and a 1-9 conference record.
