Larry Joe Orr, 78, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at the University of Missouri Hospital.
There will be a private memorial service.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Larry was born June 2, 1942, in Vandalia, the son of James Lafe and Edith Marie (Ellesberry) Orr.
The Vandalia Hobby Shop, golf, model trains, gambling, dog and horse races are some of the things Larry enjoyed. He loved traveling and always made sure everyone was having a good time.
Larry retired from Harbison-Walker. Throughout his life he was a member of many clubs and served on various boards. Larry was also a fast pitch softball coach.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Borgmeyer of the home; son, Jay (Melissa) Orr of Bowling Green; two daughters, Tina Davis of Arnold and JoAnna Borgmeyer (Derek Hull) of Farber; six grandchildren, Madison Orr, Jayson Orr, Dillon (Courtney) Davis, Riley Davis, Jayda Borgmeyer and Jaxdyn Hull; and one great-granddaughter, Karsyn Davis.
Larry is preceded in death by four brothers, Max, Burl, Dean and Leon Orr; and one infant sister.
Memorial may be made to the American Red Cross. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
