Class 2 No. 7 North Callaway 6 Mark Twain 0 in Center
North Callaway (19-10, 8-1 EMO) moved into a three-way tie for first place in the Eastern Missouri Conference with Class 2 No. 6 Elsberry and Class 2 No. 5 Montgomery County on Tuesday. The Ladybirds won 6-0 at Mark Twain (9-15, 1-7 EMO) while Montgomery County suffered its first conference loss 10-0 at Elsberry. It is North Callaway's 13th straight win over Mark Twain.
Megan Schmidt pitched seven innings with 14 strikeouts, four walks and one hit, which was on a bunt. Kymorie Myers set the career home runs record with her 20th home run on a two-RBI homer in the third inning. Jocelyn Siegel and Ella Neal each had one RBI, and Addison Bedsworth went 2-for-3 with a walk.
North Callaway plays its conference and regular season finale at 5 p.m. Thursday at home against Bowling Green (11-9, 5-3 EMO), which will be Senior Night for the Ladybirds.

Jocelyn Curtis was on the winning end of the pitcher's duel for Community R-6 (10-20) as the Lady Trojans beat Louisiana (10-9) on the road. Curtis pitched seven innings with four hits, three walks and two strikeouts. Community finished with five hits but scored its first run via a passed ball on a dropped third strike in the second inning before Curtis added on a RBI double in the third inning.
Peyton Schafer went 2-for-4, Lydia Hoyt had a double and Kaytlynn Arens had a hit and a walk.
Community plays its Senior Night game on Thursday against Class 1 District 4 foe Marion County (5-7).
Class 3 No. 2 Centralia 7 Hallsville 0 in Hallsville in six innings
Centralia (21-4) has accomplished many things this season but had more to add to the list on Tuesday. The Lady Panthers beat their rival Hallsville (9-12) in Hallsville for the first time since 2019.
Centralia (5-0 CCC) tries to go undefeated in the Clarence Cannon Conference foe yet another season and for its fifth straight win over Palmyra (7-14, 1-3 CCC) at 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
Wright City 5 Van-Far 4 in Wright City
Van-Far (7-14, 3-6 EMO) couldn't complete a comeback at Eastern Missouri Conference foe Wright City (9-16, 2-6 EMO). The Lady Indians trailed 5-1 after the fourth inning before scoring three runs in the final two innings, including two runs after loading the bases with two outs in the seventh inning.
Elliott Utterback finished 3-for-4 with a two-RBI single in the seventh inning and a triple. Kylee Gibson went 2-for-4, and Carly Hunn and Bryanna Stanich each had one RBI. Ady Barnett pitched six innings with two unearned runs, two walks and one hit.
Van-Far plays its regular season finale at conference and Class 1 District 4 foe Clopton (7-10, 3-6 EMO) at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Canton 6 Class 2 No. 10 Paris 4 in Canton
Paris (17-3) has entered its first rough patch of the season, losing its third in four games. The Lady Coyotes lost 6-4 at Canton (13-13) after tying the game at 4 with a three-run third inning. In the fourth and fifth innings, Paris had five of its seven errors and had three unearned runs charged to Ava Crain by the end of the night. Crain pitched six innings with six runs, five hits and four strikeouts.
Reese Sutton hit a two-RBI home run in the third inning, Emma Ashenfelter and Raygen Crum each had one RBI, and Katie Cummins had a double.
Paris plays its final home game and Senior Night game against Sturgeon (12-8) at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Fall baseball
Community R-6 10 Cairo 0 in Cairo
Community R-6 (9-5) run-ruled a Central Activities Conference rival when its won 10-0 in five innings at Cairo (6-6). The Trojans tallied 10 hits, six walks and four hit by pitches. Cooper Rohan pitched five innings with six strikeouts and two hits.
Nik Crider finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and one double, Kyler Swaim went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, two walks and one double, Kaiden Erdel and Matthew Utterback each finished 2-for-3 with one RBI, and Rohan added one RBI.
Community plays in the wooden bat Highway 17 Slugfest on Friday and Saturday in Crocker to close out the fall season. The Trojans play Crocker (11-8) at 7 p.m. Friday, Atlanta (12-3) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Arcadia Valley (12-9) at 5 p.m. Saturday.
