Machine fire at Mexico residence
On Thursday, Dec. 15, at around 2:43 p.m., Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 1300 block of Bennington in reference to a fire.
According to a press release from the Department, responding personnel found that the resident was using carburetor cleaner while getting a snow blower to start, and the machine caught fire. The resident was able to get the snow blower out of the garage before MPSD arrived. The fire was extinguished with the snow blower suffering signifiant damage.
No other personal property was damaged and there were no injuries from the incident.
