Marjorie Ann (Kysar) Fierge, 89, of Perry, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 20, 2020.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Arnold Funeral Home, with Larry Baitinger officiating. Burial followed in South Fork Cemetery in Santa Fe.

Marjorie was born Aug., 11, 1931, the daughter of Cecil Kysar and Lucille Langley. She married Cecil Howard “Pete” Fierge in April of 1949.

Mrs. Fierge loved playing cards and going fishing with as many of her grandchildren as they could pile in the back of a truck! She wrote this about going fishing “I love to go Fishing! Morning, noon, or night, no matter if it’s through thickets, over barbed wire fences, and even swimming a creek to get to where the fish are biting because it is a real treat.” Her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her 11 children and the numerous others that called her mom.

Marjorie is survived by 10 children, Tommy (Linda) Fierge of Santa Fe, Russell Howard of Perry, Vickie Hilton of Mexico, Steven (Carmen) Fierge of Gravois Mills, Patricia Fierge of Blue Springs, Kimberly Page of Columbia, Debbie (David) Anderson of Hannibal, Karen (Kevin) Rhoades of Clarence, and Vanessa (Dennis) Roberts of Mexico, Leslie Caldwell of Mexico; one sister, Martha Powell of Centralia; 30 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gayle Fierge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fierge was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; parents, Cecil and Lucille Langley; one daughter, Melinda Gay Fierge; one grandson, Michael Paul Piedmont; three sisters, Betty Jo Hill, Virginia Rodenbaugh and Mildred Ward; one brother, Cecil David Kysar,

The family requests memorial donations be made to the family of Marjorie Fierge to be applied to funeral costs. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
