Martha Grace McDaneld, 89, of Centralia, passed away on Nov. 17, 2020 at University Hospital in Columbia. Martha was born on Dec. 24, 1930, in Vandalia, the daughter of Wesley and Lily Grace (McCurdy) DeTienne.

Martha was a Christian by faith and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cooking. There was always a meal served for family and friends on Saturdays at her house with homemade beans, rolls and pies.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail (Paul) Dobbs of Centralia, Janice (Joe) Gilman of Auxvasse; son, Charles (Jeannie) Spires of Frankford; brother, Virgil (Jenny) DeTienne of Las Vegas, Nev; six granddaughters, Ann (Terry) Carlyle, Kimberly (Angie) Dobbs, Melissa (Derek) Jepson, Angie (Patrick) Norris, Amanda Murray, Stacy (Craig) Shramek; four grandsons, Paul (Priscilla) Dobbs, Jr., Randall (Jarrett) Gilman, Charlie (Cindy) Spires and Benjamin Dobbs.She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Wesley (Pete) DeTienne, Ray DeTienne, J.R. DeTienne and Roy DeTienne.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Jamie Franke will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service. A visitation celebrating the life of Martha Grace McDaneld will be held at 1p.m. until the time of service Saturday Nov. 21, at the Waters Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tracy DeTienne, Richard DeTienne, Dean DeTienne, Curtis DeTienne, Paul Dobbs Jr. and Charlie Spires.Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Ray DeTienne and Randall Gilman.
