Mary Lillian Kobush

Mary Lillian Kobush, 84, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Zane Whorton conducting the service.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Ms. Kobush was born on Jan. 16, 1938 in Mexico, the daughter of Martillus and Mary (Day) Bybee.

 

Mary enjoyed spending leisure time doing needlework and quilting.  She loved to spend time playing bunco.  Mary had many bird feeders that allowed her to watch birds and enjoy nature.  She would relax by listening to music.  Mary’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Silver of Thonotosassa, Fla., Kathy Spires of Mexico; one son, Todd Kobush of Mexico; one brother, Jim (Judy) Bybee of Dothan, Ala.; one sister, Sally (Bob) Robuck of Jefferson City; one grandson; Trent (Jessica) Silver of Foristell; one granddaughter, Ashley (Tim) Hodges of Mexico; six great-grandchildren, Audrey Silver, Grant Silver, Carly Silver, Morgan Silver, Aiden Hodges and Eli Hodges.

 

Ms. Kobush was preceded in death by her parents, Martillus and Mary Bybee; two sons, Kenneth Kobush and Robert “Bobby” Spires.

 

The family requests memorial donations be made to American Heart Association or First Christian Church. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
