Mexico High School senior Dominic McKeown has broken the MHS Soccer single-season goal assist record.
Mexico boys’ soccer played its final game of the season in district play against Fulton, last Tuesday. Haden Frazier scored three goals, two of which were assisted by Dominic McKeown.
Dominic came close to the single-season record in the 2020 season, with 16 assists. By Tuesday, he had already tied the pre- vious record of 18, which was set in 2015. His two goal-assisting passes against Fulton made him the new record-holder, with 20.
Dominic is also a handy finisher himself, especially from free kicks and penalties. He has scored two varsity hat-tricks during his Bulldog soccer career. He has scored 13 goals this season, in addition to his 20 assists.
Achieving a school record is another highlight in a highly successful MHS soccer career. The goal assist record marks Dominic out as a solid, hard working, and unselfish team player. He has, of course, been fortunate to play with a prolific goal scorer, Haden Frazier.
Haden has scored 33 goals this sea- son, which is close to Brock Fuemmeler’s all-time record of 35, also set in 2015.
