A Mexico man is in custody in connection with firing a gun in city limits.
On Thursday, May 4, at approximately 9:37 p.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to the 300 block of North Clark in reference to a report of gunshots. Investigation and information from alert residents indicated that Tony R Knapp, Jr., 38, who lives in that area, had been walking in the roadway and shooting a handgun. Knapp was arrested and processed at MPSD then taken to the Audrain County Jail for unlawful use of weapon.
There were no injuries from the incident.
