A 33 year-old Mexico man was wounded by gunfire on Saturday.
According to Mexico Public Safety Department reports, an argument between several people in the 1000 block of Buchanan led to more than one person opening fire. The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. Three vehicles and one house were damaged.
Investigators saw the victim was directly involved in the disturbance. He was taken to Audrain Community Hospital by a friend. He was treated at the hospital and released.
MPSD is continuing to investigate what occurred so that the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney can make charging decisions.
