Baylea Porter and Marcos Matuz were presented with the 86th annual Wise Courtesy award on Friday, Dec. 20. Senior Baylea Porter is the daughter of Jennifer Countryman & Marvin Porter. She is active in Jazz band, Band, Spanish Club, NHS, tennis, and she is a drum major of the Mexico Pride band. Bailey enjoys tutoring, and volunteering for all home quiz bowl tournaments. Bailey plans to attend a four-year college to study neuroscience. Marcos is a current student at MHS, he is the son of Anselmo & Veronica Matuz. Marcos is currently active in Student Council, Link crew. Marcos also played Soccer, and is also active in youth group. Marcos will attend the Capitol Academy program and then work with the Company after. The award was established by the late Mrs. F.M. Wise who specified that the cash awards be presented to the most courteous senior boy and senior girl during the Annual Holiday Assembly. Congrats to Baylea and Marcos!
