Mildred Lorene (Hager) Allen, 96, Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021 at University Hospital in Columbia.

Mildred was born on April 26, 1925 in Perry, the daughter of Clifford and Annie (O’Connor) Hager who preceded her in death. She married Ervin Jett on March 7, 1942. To this union six children were born.

On July 24, 1993, she was united in marriage to John Joseph (J.J.) Allen. They enjoyed 24 years of marriage before his passing in 2017.

Mildred retired from Fulton State Hospital. She enjoyed camping, playing cards and going to the casino. At every family gathering, her favorite card game of knock poker was enjoyed by the entire family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed celebrating her 93rd birthday when her daughters took her to Kansas City for three days.

Survivors include her three children, Carolyn (Jett) Stuckenschneider of Martinsburg, Evelyn (Jett) Hunn (Joe) of Independence, and Wayne Jett (Teresa) of Fulton; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Jett of Fulton; eight grandchildren, Tammy Stuckenschneider (Ryan Jackson), Natalie (Hunn) O’Dell, Jake Hunn, Erica (Jett) Holder (Kyle), Michelle (Jett) Payne (Andy), Robbie Hawkins, Trevor Jett, and Corey Jett; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Jett; infant daughter, Debbie Jett; one daughter, Wanda Hawkins; son-in-law, Lawrence (Rooster) Stuckenschneider; two grandsons, Ricky Stuckenschneider and Chris Stuckenschneider; two sisters, Margaret Baise and Virgina (Ginny) Graves; one brother, Robert Hager; and Ervin Jett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 15 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
