On Saturday, May 8, at 7 p.m., Missouri Military Academy (MMA) will air a virtual presentation on MMA’s YouTube channel for Maroon & Gold. The online event will include an online auction and showcase the cadets and campus with musical performances by MMA cadets, an exhibition performance by the Fusileers Drill Team, highlights of MMA fine arts, and more.
This year, funds raised through Maroon & Gold will support cadet life and leadership programs; specifically funding for MMA’s baseball field renovation, the equestrian program’s stable renovation, lights for the soccer field, a new bus, and for the unpredictable military competition costs for MMA Fusileers, Raiders and the rifle team.
“I am immensely grateful for the support of Maroon & Gold by our MMA community,” MMA president Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret) said. “Through the commitment of our alumni, families, friends and community partners, we will continue to improve the quality and variety of Academy programs and diverse opportunities that provide a life-changing experience for our cadets.”
Some of the current sponsors of the fundraiser include, Commerce Trust Company, Missouri Military Academy Board of Trustees Chairman R. Stribling and Janie Koster, SAGE Dining Services, and more.
Some items that have been donated for the auction are a Chiefs Riddell Speed Eclipse full-size authentic helmet autographed by Patrick Mahomes, a 17 Caliber Ruger American Rimfire Rifle and 50 rounds of ammo, and Hyalogic beauty products. The online auction went live on Monday, April 26.
