Ruas Deluca continues record-breaking year in Missouri Military Academy home swim meet victory
Tiago Ruas Deluca set two records in his previous time in the pool for Missouri Military Academy.
At home on Tuesday, Ruas Deluca broke his own school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.97 and set a new record in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:20.88, shattering the previous record of 2:27.53. The Colonels won the meet with 107 points to beat out Hannibal’s 34 points.
MMA competes in the CoMO Relays on Sept. 29.
Missouri Military Academy soccer wins seventh straight in 1-0 win at Kirksville
Missouri Military Academy soccer kept its winning streak going on Thursday.
The Colonels faced a familiar opponent on the road in Kirksville, who they defeated to clinch a tournament title in Moberly last weekend. They edged the Tigers (4-5) 1-0 thanks to a goal by Roberto Bernal.
It was the fourth shutout recorded by goalkeeper Joseph Roach and MMA (9-1).
MMA plays at Sunnydale Adventist Academy at 5 p.m. Monday.
Colonels win Hannibal swimming meet
Missouri Military Academy won another swim meet on Thursday.
The Colonels defeated North Point, Hannibal, Holt and Columbia Independent in a quad meet in Hannibal. MMA scored 100 points followed by North Point with 54 points, Hannibal and Holt each with 46 points, and Columbia Independent with 26 points.
