Neal E. Haarmann, 51, of Jacksonville, Ill., passed away Monday evening, Aug. 16, 2021 at White Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation in White Hall. He was born Aug. 14, 1970 in Troy, the son of Allan and Doris Rottger Haarmann.
He married Amy Schacherbauer on Aug. 1, 1998 in New Berlin and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Haley Haarmann and Alex Haarmann of Jacksonville, Ill.; one granddaughter, Peyton; two brothers, Don (Kay) Haarmann of Jefferson City, and Gary (Traci) Haarmann of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Neal had been employed at Brandt Consolidated in Franklin for many years. He was a member of the Church of Our Saviour. He was an avid Mizzou and St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time on the farm with his cows.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 20, at the Church of Our Saviour with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Jacksonville Ill. The family will meet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. A prayer service will be conducted at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
