Amy LeCount took her oath of office on Monday, March 6, 2023 during a swearing in ceremony at the Audrain County Courthouse.
LeCount takes over the position of Audrain County Collector for Kate Becker who retired from the office on March 6, 2023. LeCount was the Chief Deputy Collector for the past six years before winning her election in November of 2022. She holds a Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership as well as an Masters in Business Administration from William Woods University. LeCount is the daughter of Marcy LeCount and Jim Bruns of Mexico.
The Collector's Fiscal year, by State Statute, runs March 1st to the end of February which is why LeCount did not take her oath of office until the first Monday of March.
