A few Thunderbirds had already been recognized for their efforts on the all-conference team but added all-district honors.
In Class 2 District 2, seniors Braydn O’Neal and AJ Siegel doubled up on awards, earning selections at quarterback and defensive back and wide receiver and defensive back, respectively. Brandon Speight was named an all-district defensive lineman, and junior Sergio Moreno earned the honor at wide receiver.
O’Neal scored 35 touchdowns and accumulated 2,720 yards on offense, whether on the run or making a pass, and had 49 tackles and an interception on defense.
Siegel had 53 tackles and two interceptions on defense and caught five touchdowns and 34 balls for 574 yards on offense.
Speight had 53 tackles, five tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.
Moreno caught a team-high 11 touchdowns and 39 balls for 684 yards. averaging 17.5 yards per catch.
Among the North Callaway honorees on the Central Missouri Media all-district team were all-purpose athlete and defensive back O’Neal and receiver Moreno on first team; and offensive and defensive lineman Speight, defensive back Siegel, and junior linebacker Kyle Pennell on second team.
