On Friday night a Mexico Public Safety Officer heard a gunshot while on patrol in the 1300 block of North Clark Street. The officer stopped a vehicle that left the area and turned onto North Jefferson.
An investigation revealed that there had been a disturbance in the North Clark home and as a group left, a male juvenile fired a shot into the air. Officers arrested 24-year-old William C. Garcia-Hernandez for alleged domestic assault. They also took the 17-year-old juvenile into custody.
Garcia-Hernandez was detained in the Audrain County Jail. The juvenile was in custody of the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division, where he faces several charges.
