On May 25, 2021 Russell William Toalson passed from this earth due to cancer. Russell had fought and beaten cancer for years until the inevitable end.

Russell was born on June 13, 1931 to Jap and Lorena Toalson in Hannibal, MO. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Jeanne Toalson, brother, Eugene Little, and companion since Jeannes passing, Patricia Calhoun.

Russell was father to three sons, Russell Toalson Jr, and Ron Toalson, both of Mexico and Rick Toalson and his wife Tammy of Panama City, FL. All of us are saddened by his passing.

More than anything Russell loved and doted on his granddaughters. Shelby Marie Toalson, Rachel Ann Toalson, Addison, Renee Toalson and Reese Whitney Toalson.

Russell graduated Mexico High School in 1950.He enlisted in the USMC in 1952 and stayed until 1956. He saw combat serving with the 1st Marine Division in Korea and received an Honorable Discharge. Russell found work at AP Green Refractories for 42 years, working in a supervisory position the last twenty years, until his retirement in 1992. After retirement, he enjoyed his favorite pastimes of RV travel and camping along with fishing. He always enjoyed looking out his windows and seeing deer, turkey and all manner of wildlife. Sharing these times with his grandchildren were a highlight for him.

Services for his burial were held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO on may 31st. Full military honors were bestowed upon him. Any memorials should be made to:
