The Thunderbirds made quick work of Wellsville-Middletown last Wednesday in a 17-0 rout.
Callaway scored 13 in the first inning and added four runs in the second, ending the game in 2 ½ innings. Ryelle Schmauch delivered a no-hitter, striking out five and walking three. Schmauch was 3-for-3 at the plate, including a triple, scoring three runs and driving in four.
All nine Thunderbird batters had a hit and all nine had at least one RBI.
Jalyn Leible was 2-for-2 with a double and RBI, scoring two runs; Kyanne Kellerman was 2-for-3 with a double a two runs scored; and Lilly Schafer was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
“The team hit well again,” said coach Mariah McKee. “And our pitcher pitched a great game.”
The game ended in 58 minutes.
