Stephen Vomund, 68 of Moberly, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
He was born in Mexico, Missouri on August 31, 1953, to the late Linton C. Vomund and the late M. Pauline (Harrison) Vomund.
From 1971 until 1973, Stephen proudly served in the United States Army. He earned his living working the family farm. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Stephen was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He will be fondly remembered by son, Kyle Vomund (Ashley) of Mexico; brothers, Joseph Vomund (Paula) of Martinsburg, Carl Vomund (Rose) of Martinsburg, and Paul Vomund (Cindy) of Moberly; sister, Janette Vomund of Fulton; sister-in-law, Corless Vomund of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Destiny, Kaiden, and Anya; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by brother, Larry L. Vomund; and nephews, Jared C. Martin, and Alan Carter.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
