Community R-6 baseball has some talent coming back.

Three Trojans earned postseason awards, including sophomore Mason Carroll and junior Gavin Allen, who each earned all-conference and all-district honors, and senior Kaden Brooks was named all-district.

Carroll impressed coaches in the Central Activities Conference and Class 1 District 12 at the plate and on the mound. He hit .450 with a home run and 17 RBI and pitched to a 1.65 ERA with 72 strikeouts and 19 walks in a little more than 42 innings.

Allen gave the Trojans another dual-threat as he hit .444 with 17 stolen bases, 14 runs, three doubles and a home run in the leadoff spot and finished with a 2.65 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 10 walks in 29 innings.

Brooks had a solid senior campaign, hitting .282 with 11 stolen bases, eight runs and six RBI.

Community R-6 finished with a 7-6 overall record and a 3-3 conference record. The team was eliminated in the semifinals of district play after losing 4-0 to Higbee.
