Uplift Mid-MO, a grassroots initiative rooted in the Christian community of Mexico, is excited to announce its 2024 Month of Giving Fundraising Campaign in celebration of its fifth anniversary. The month-long campaign, set to take place in November, aims to raise $20,000 to further its mission of providing aid and support to the residents of Audrain County. This campaign is being held in lieu of their annual Uplift Color Run 5k fundraiser.
Since its inception in 2019, right before the global pandemic, Uplift Mid-MO has been a testament to the power of faith and community. Over the past five years, God has faithfully guided the organization and its founding members, allowing Uplift Mid-MO to bless Audrain County residents with more than $45,000 in aid.
"As we mark our fifth anniversary, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness to the vision He gave our founding members," said Kate Shaw, Board President of Uplift Mid-MO. "Our goal for this Month of Giving is to further engage our mid-Missouri community and inspire others to give generously so that we can expand our reach and provide even greater support to those in need."
Throughout November, Uplift Mid-MO will share a series of heartfelt video testimonials from some of its 12 partner churches and local agencies that have witnessed the impact of the organization firsthand. These stories will be featured on Uplift Mid-MO’s social media channels and website to showcase the positive change that has been made possible through the generosity of supporters and the grace of God.
The $20,000 fundraising goal for the 2024 Month of Giving will enable Uplift Mid-MO to continue its growth and outreach efforts, ensuring that more individuals and families in Audrain County receive the support they need. While this is a significant target, the organization is confident that the community will come together in faith and generosity to help meet the challenge.
"Uplift has always trusted God to provide for our needs," added Shaw. "We believe this campaign will not only achieve our financial goals but also strengthen our community bonds and encourage more people to get involved in supporting their neighbors."
