V. Isabell Galloway, 95, was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the morning hours of Jan. 17, 2021. Mrs. Galloway passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Jan. 17, at SSM Health St. Mary's - Audrain.
Isabell, a long- time resident of Laddonia, was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, JB and daughter-in-law, Barbara Galloway.
Mrs. Galloway was born July 26, 1925, in Perry, the daughter of Lewis O. and V. Lucille Moore Yancey. She married James Byron "JB" Galloway on Oct. 19, 1947 in Perry and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2012.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Galloway of Monroe City; three grandchildren, James (Stacy) Galloway of Olathe, Kan.., Christine Hibdon of Lee's Summit, and Cheryl Galloway of Blue Springs; three great-grandchildren; Emily Galloway and Taylor and Delaney Hibdon; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Jack Yancey, and one daughter-in-law Barbara Galloway.
Mrs. Galloway was a lifetime area resident and member of Spencer Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and served as a longtime member of Eastern Star holding several offices. She attended Hannibal-LaGrange University and taught in local rural schools before her marriage to JB. She enjoyed camping, needlework, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandkids.
Private family graveside services with burial in the Laddonia Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her family.
