Missouri Military Academy’s Bryson Powell was among the best in Cuba.
Powell finished fourth with a time of 17:46 on Wednesday in the Cuba Cross Country Meet. MMA took fifth place — with 105 points — out of six teams that scored in the meet.
Gerardo Quiroga was the Colonels’ next best finisher in 30th place with a time of 19:54.50, Michael Pfeifer ran to 36th with a time of 20:33.20 and Wayland Evans rounded out the Colonels in the top 40 with a 40th-place time of 21:06.40.
Community R-6's Jennings sets season PR in Hermann
Community R-6’s Callie Jennings fell in the standings Tuesday at Hermann but finished under 30 minutes for a season-best.
Jennings finished 53rd out of 57 runners in the girls 5,000 meter run at the Hermann Invitational at Loutre Shore Country Club. She ran to a season personal-best time of 29:26.19.
Hermann’s Katy Menke won the race with a time of 19:14.29.
