Missouri Military Academy golf has played the final stretch of its regular season schedule. The Colonels will compete in the Class 2 District 2 tournament on May 6 at Norwoods Golf Club in Hannibal.
MMA was involved in a Fulton quad on April 16 at Tanglewood Golf Course before picking up some big victories in tournaments afterward. The Colonels won their home MMA Invitational on April 19 at Arthur Hills in Mexico, finishing first with a score of 346. Cooper Johnston led MMA with a score of 79, Gabriel Ontiveros followed with an 80, Joseph Roach had a 92 and Carlos Ontiveros shot a 95.
Johnston earned a medal with a fourth-place score of 82 in the Calvary Lutheran Tournament on April 23. The Colonels were third as a team with a 358, including scores of 92 from Roach and Carlos Ontiveros, and a 93 from Gaston Gastelum.
