Members of the Audrain County Historical Society (ACHS) met March 21, at the museum. Erik Richardson, ACHS board president, led the annual membership meeting.
Bronwyn MacFarlane, ACHS board vice president and secretary, welcomed members and guests.
Three new members to the board, Paul Baum, Steve Kreyling, and Walter Staley, were elected and congratulated.
Richardson, presented the 2023-24 Friend of History Award to Amy O’Brien, in recognition of her commitment to preserve the rich community heritage as vital to local economic development.
Retiring Director, Lori Pratt, presented the 2023-24 Director’s Award to Ruben Bolton in grateful recognition of 11 years of dedication and service to the living history festival, Walk Back in Time, performing as Francis Scott Key with historical songs and storytelling.
ACHS past president, Debra Trabue, presented the 2023-24 President’s Award to Rick Giboney in grateful recognition of his dedication and “Jack of All Trades” service to the Audrain County Historical Society and the Walk Back in Time festival.
Richardson presented a potted plant to Pratt, in honor of her leadership and dedication to the ACHS. She led the historical society with the delivery of many special community programs such as the summer History Camp for kids, the Walk Back in Time festival, the Miss Missouri dessert reception, and others.
